From September 2013, St James Priory (Bristol’s oldest building 1129) is launching an Educational Programme for children at Key Stages 1 and 2.

Learning and activities will cover the Medieval Period through to the reign of the Tudors, inspiring, fascinating and stirring children’s curiosity to learn by going beyond what the classroom has to offer. St James Priory creates a unique learning environment enabling teachers and pupils to access a rich wealth of resources and bring heritage to life.

The Educational Programme operates over half or full days with activities pre-chosen from our Educational Pack to suit academic requirements.

Please download the Introduction to the St James Priory Educational Pack, as well as an example of an activity which may be undertaken during the day.

Following a successful trial day of our new Educational Programme, we are looking forward to welcoming children and teachers from local schools to St James Priory.

We hope you can join us to see what our heritage site at St James has to offer and we look forward to seeing you soon.
